I call it "Red Wine Salad" Recipe
8:28 PMMy boyfriends mom is where all the credit is due. She is a fantastic cook but also very humble. She made this raw salad with red wine vinegar in it one night, when I was over for dinner and I couldn't stop myself from eating the entire bowl she had layed out for everyone.
So, I got quite lonely while nanning and decided to take pictures while making my meal. Here is a step by step picture recipe for you guys and quite frankly it's the easiest thing to do.
Ingredients:
Garlic powder or cloves
Avacodo(s)
Baby tomotoes
Red wine vinegar
White onion
Olive oil
Now, chop up avacodo into smaller pieces. Avacodo is quite soft so it's hard to really cut into finer peices so I found the bigger the chunks the better.
The white onions, I prefer, to chop vertical strips as shown in the picture. It just adds more crunch than if chopped finer but it can be chopped according to preference. *bring some tissues*
It's funny because I actually hate tomatoes but in this "salad" I really like it and I can't figure out why. Most likely because the red wine vinegar plus everything else masks the awful taste. Keep the tomotoes even if you're not a fan is the point I'm trying to make cause it won't be the same without them!
Now, for the red wine vinegar, my above statement really applies for this because if overdone, it can be too strong. Less is always more. Just put a little in at a time MIX it then add more if needed!
For more yummy ideas send them my way cause I don't got a lot.....
If it's terrible I'm sorry.....
Or if your entire grocery bill is going toward onions, tomatoes and avocados, I again apologize but Jens to Blame!
